Since the rollers of crossed roller bearing are alternately crossed at right angles to each other between inner and outer rings. Only one set of cross roller bearing can bear the load in all directions, and compared with the conventional bearings, its rigidity increases by 3 to 4 times. The inner ring or outer ring of the cross roller bearing is split type, so the bearing clearance can be adjusted, and even if preload is applied, high-precision rotation can be achieved.
When designing new spindles, before selecting crossed roller bearings, the first thing you need to do is to consider the spindle performance parameters. Roughly determine the most critical performance, and then proceed to further design. (Parameters including: spindle speed, spindle accuracy, spindle stiffness, spindle life, spindle heating, and spindle reliability)
After determining the spindle parameters, design the actual size of the spindle (shaft diameter, length, bearing span). According to the bearing type (ball or cylindrical roller bearing), number of rows, driving method (belt, gear, motor, built-in motor), lubrication (oil, oil and gas, oil mist, injection) and other parameters, you can determine its structure.
